IS TREATMENT RIGHT FOR ME OR MY CHILD?

The answer is different for everyone. Dr. Jon is happy to take a look and offer you his expert, no-pressure opinion. A good time for a first time orthodontic examination for children would be between the ages of 8 and 9. At that time children have a mix of baby (primary) and permanent teeth. An examination as permanent teeth take the place of baby teeth, and as the face and jaws are growing, gives us a wealth of information. If a problem exists, or if one is developing, we are usually able to catch it before it causes any damage. If no treatment is needed, great! You can relax knowing that all is well and rest assured that Shine will continue to watch for potential problems.
